Dr. HERU NARWANTA, SP.I, M.Si
Heru Narwanta began his career as a Civil Service Candidate (CPNS) at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) on March 1, 1991. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, followed by a Master’s degree in Development Economics from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Demonstrating his strong commitment to academic advancement, he also attained a Doctoral degree from the same university.
Throughout his career, Dr. Heru Narwanta has held various strategic positions within the Directorate General of Taxes. He has served as Head of Division at the Regional Tax Offices. Subsequently, he was entrusted to lead Tax Offices. In his further career progression, Dr. Heru assumed structural positions at the DGT Headquarters as Head of Subdirectorate. On March 17, 2023, he was promoted as Head of Regional Tax Office. Since February 2026, He was entrusted as Director of Internal Compliance and Apparatus Transformation.
In recognition of his dedication, he has received multiple awards, particularly for achieving tax revenue targets during his leadership at various tax offices. He has also been awarded the Satyalancana Karya Satya X and XX medals by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, signifying his long-standing commitment, integrity, and service excellence within the taxation institution.
