In the commemoration of Hakordia, a Lecturer and member of the Criminal Law Study Division of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, Gandjar Laksmana Bonaprapta, was the guest speaker at this event.
The commemoration was opened by the Head of General Affairs Henrajaya and attended by all employees both offline and online. This Hakordia commemoration is a momentum for Jakarta Special Regional Tax Office to improve employee integrity in preventing corrupt behavior and creating an Integrity Zone towards a Corruption-Free Area (ZI-WBK) in the Special Jakarta DJP Regional Office.
Initiating the Socialization of Anti-Corruption Culture, Gandjar Laksmana Bonaprapta invited all employees to change the way of thinking that corruption is not a culture but an extraordinary crime that must be eradicated. Gandjar mentioned that the root cause of corruption is gratification, where the root cause of gratification is discrimination and a wrong mindset.
Corruption is an extraordinary crime that has the potential to be committed by everyone which results in large and extensive losses. Even done in an organized manner by several circles. Gandjar also mentioned that there are 7 main acts of corruption, namely: harming state finances, bribery, embezzlement in office, extortion (forced to issue money), fraudulent acts, conflicts of interest in procurement, and gratuities. To avoid these acts, we must firmly hold the basic values of anti-corruption.
The Anti-Corruption Culture socialized by Gandjar gives a very clear message that eradicating corruption starts with oneself by upholding the basic values of anti-corruption to eradicate the root cause and build an anti-corruption culture.
