Bailiff of State Receivables visited Regional Development Bank Bali to carry out collection actions.

Bailiff of State Receivables or Juru Sita Pajak Negara (JSPN) of the Permanent Establishments and Expatriates Tax Office visited Regional Development Bank (Bank BPD) of Province Bali in Puputan Highway, Niti Mandala, Renon, South Denpasar (Thursday, 21/8) to follow up on the request to block the taxpayer’s account.

"Collection efforts have been carried out by the JSPN, starting with the delivery of Reprimand Letter, Issue Distress Warrant, and persuasive measures to taxpayers, but the tax arrears have not been paid, so Freezing Bank Accounts and Other Financial Products need to be carried out as an effort to accelerate the collection of tax receivables. We are implementing the regulations in accordance with Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 61 of 2023 Article 1 Paragraph 27," explained Agung Lisyanto, Head of Section Audit, Valution, and Collection Tax of the Permanent Establishments and Expatriates Tax Office.

Freezing Bank Accounts and Other Financial Products is a security measure for the taxpayer's property managed by financial service institutions, other financial service institutions, or other entities, which includes bank accounts, securities sub-accounts for securities companies and custodian, insurance policies for insurance companies, or other financial assets for other financial service institutions, with the aim that there will be no changes to the property in question, other than an increase in amount or value.

Freezing Bank Accounts may be revoked, including if the taxpayer pays or settles the tax debt and collection costs, submits other items with a value at least equal to the tax debt and collection costs, and there is a tax court decision as stipulated in Article 33 of PMK Number 61 of 2023 concerning Procedures for Tax Collection on Tax Amounts Still Payable.

“Tax account holders are requested to fulfill their tax obligations in accordance with applicable regulations in order to avoid further collection actions, including seizure and detention, are not carried out,” said Fawwazynaassarrazzaq Nezard Al Bannini, Bailiff of State Receivables, who visited Regional Development Bank in Bali.

On that occasion, the Permanent Establishments and Expatriates Tax Office team also expressed its gratitude to Regional Development Bank (Bank BPD) of Province Bali for its willingness to support the implementation of law enforcement activities.
