Workers in labor-intensive fields will receive Income Tax (PPh) incentives from the government in 2025. This was conveyed by Sondang Romian Purba, a tax educator of the Foreign Investment One Tax Office, during a tax talk in Kalibata, South Jakarta (Wednesday, 19th/3).

Under Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) number 10/2025, the government provides Article 21 Income Tax borne by the government (DTP) as part of its efforts to stabilize the economy in 2025. The income tax stimulus is addressed for workers in several sectors such as footwear, textile and apparel, furniture, and leather and leather goods. “There are 56 business sectors that can benefit from this incentive,” Sondang said.

Sondang explained that the tax facility is available from January to December 2025. “The employee's income will not be taxed and they will receive the full amount of their salary,” Sondang added.

According to the regulation, the income tax is granted to permanent employees with a gross income of a maximum of Rp10,000,000 per month and non-permanent employees with an average daily income of a maximum of Rp500,000. The income condition is determined from the received amount in January 2025 or the first month of work in 2025.

“If the income happens to fluctuate each month, the basis for providing incentives refers to the income received in January 2025 or the first month of work in 2025,” Sondang explained.
