National Tax Service of The Republic of Korea Visits DGT in Jakarta

On April 6th 2023, the delegation from The National Tax Service of The Republic of Korea (NTS) visited the Head Office of The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) for a bilateral meeting. NTS was led by the Director of the Offshore Information Division, KIM Jin-Woo. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between DGT and NTS.

On the visit, KIM was accompanied by HAN Sae-On, KANG Seung-Jin, and AHN Se-Sik of the Offshore Information Division, and was accompanied by KWON Oh-Heung and HYEON Ryu-Ji from Director of Jakarta Office, NTS.

During the meeting, KIM Jin-Woo expressed NTS’s intention to extending the ongoing taxation bilateral cooperation by formally delivering the Memorandum of Understanding that had been signed by NTS Commissioner. The MoU would later be signed by The Director General of Taxes.   In this visit, KIM Jin-Woo also presented a Commendation for Great Services Award to the Director of International Taxation, Mekar Satria Utama, for his support in enhancing both the friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and South Korea.  The Award was given to mark the 57th Taxpayer’s Day Celebration in South Korea.

The NTS delegation is welcomed by the Director of International Taxation, Mr Mekar Satria Utama accompanied by the Head of Subdirectorate International Taxation Agreement and Cooperation, Ms Leli Listianawati and the Head of Subdirectorate of International Taxation Information Exchange, Ms Sanityas Jukti Prawatyani.

Mr Mekar Satria Utama convey that the DGT is pleased to be able to establish good cooperation and thankful for NTS's effort to provide detailed material explanation related to data exchange cooperation to the DGT. Hopefully, this cooperation can provide good benefits between DGT and NTS.
