Taxpayers will sign the tax document electronically in the next Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) integrated tax administration application, Coretax. The tax instructor of the Foreign Investment One Tax Office, Sondang Romian Purba explained through the Tax Talk series on Instagram live in Kalibata, South Jakarta (Wednesday, 18th/12).
Coretax will allow taxpayers to sign documents using the Electronic Certificate or obtaining an authorization code from the DGT.
Sondang said that the electronic signing method in the Coretax application refers to the Minister of Finance Regulation Number 81 of 2024. “Taxpayers can sign their tax documents electronically in several channels, one of which is through the Taxpayer Portal,” explained Sondang to the 115 participants during the live.
Sondang revealed that the default Coretax application signatory is the appointed person according to the taxpayer information on the DJP Online page. “Always check and update the signatory first before using the Coretax,” Sondang reminded.
Before starting the Coretax, taxpayers should appoint a certain person granted full access to Coretax to manage the entire tax obligation. Then, the person will authorize the officers to complete specific tax administration.
“Taxpayers can grant the Coretax access to their employees on a limited basis, namely the officer on Income Tax Return Article 21 or the officer on Tax Invoice in Value Added Tax,” explained Sondang.
