
ANTON BUDHI SETIAWAN, S.P., M.M.
Born in Kebumen on July 7, 1969, Anton Budhi Setiawan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional in 1993 and later completed his postgraduate studies, obtaining a Master’s degree in Management from the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Sumatera Utara in 2001.
He began his career as a Civil Service Candidate at the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) on September 1, 1995. His early assignments included serving as Head of Subsection at the West Medan Tax Office in 1998 and later as Operations Coordinator at the same office in 2001. In 2002, he became Head of the Revenue and Objection Section at the Karawang Tax Office, followed by his role as Head of Subdivision of Personnel at East Java III Regional Tax Office starting in 2004.
In 2007, he was assigned as Head of Section of Supervision and Consultation II at Jakarta Mampang Prapatan Tax Office before moving to the Jakarta Tamansari Dua Tax Office in the same year, holding the same position. In 2011, he was appointed as Head of Tenggarong Tax Office, then in 2012 as Head of Balikpapan Medium Taxpayers Tax Office, and subsequently as Head of Balikpapan Tax Office in 2015. In 2016, he served as Head of Large Taxpayers One Tax Office and later, in 2020, assumed the position of Head of Division of Sata and Potential Supervision at Central Jakarta Regional Tax Office. In 2022, he was appointed as Head of Subdirectorate of Intelligence Operations at Directorate of Tax Intelligence. Finally, on September 2, 2024, he was officially appointed as Head of North Sumatra II Regional Tax Office.
In recognition of his dedication and integrity throughout his career, Anton Budhi Setiawan has received numerous awards, including the Satyalancana Karya Satya Medals for X Years (2006) and XX Years (2023) of Service from the President of the Republic of Indonesia. He also received a Certificate of Appreciation from Director General of Taxes (2016), an award from Ministry of Finance for exceeding 100% of revenue targets (2018), and was named Best Primary Tax Office Head Level II (2017). Under his leadership, the unit he managed earned the title of Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Zone (2019). In 2024, he was selected as a Transformation Ambassador of the Ministry of Finance by the Directorate of Business Process Transformation in recognition of his commitment to supporting bureaucratic reform and public service excellence.
Additionally, he actively participates in professional training and competency development programs, such as the Transformational Leadership Program, and serves as a speaker in tax socialization activities, including sessions for teachers and educational institutions, as a tangible contribution to improving tax literacy in society.
