Jakarta Special Regional Tax Office held an Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) Education Class for Jakarta Special Regional Tax Office at Sinergi Hall, 6th Floor, Menara Mandiri II, South Jakarta (Tuesday, 7/3). The Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) subject was presented by Khodori Eko Purwanto, Section Head of International Tax Dispute Prevention and Handling III, Directorate of International Taxation, and attended by 25 taxpayers.

This education class aims to educate taxpayers about the implementation of the Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) and its benefits for both DGT and taxpayers. In his remarks, Irawan, Head of the Special Jakarta DGT Office invited taxpayers to implement the Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) as an alternative to a good dispute settlement for time, human resources, and cost efficiency for the parties in dispute. The event continued with a presentation by Khodori, a resource person for Advance Pricing Agreement (APA). Khodori explained that there are several benefits that can be taken when implementing APA, including: obtaining legal certainty over complex affiliated transactions; avoiding the imposition of double taxation; reducing tax compliance costs; reducing the burden of record keeping for related affiliated transactions.

On this occasion, Khodori also conveyed about who can apply for APA and how to apply. In addition, Khodori also received a number of questions submitted by taxpayers. In their testimony, one of the taxpayers hoped that the duration of the question and answer session in this tax class would be extended. In addition, the invitees also hoped that educational activities like this would be held more often.

At the end of the event, Bayu Agatyan, Head of Objection and Appeal Section I of Jakarta Special Regional Tax Office, gave his closing statement that the Vertical Unit in Jakarta Special Regional Tax Office will always be ready to assist and facilitate the needs of taxpayers in implementing APA.
